Tonight was on the lighter side of Christmas... We read the story of the "Christmas Stocking" and how St. Nicholas helped out the daughters' of a desperate nobleman who lost his wife and home. St. Nicholas dropped three small pouches of gold into their chimney and since the maidens hung their stocking on the fireplace to dry, the gold dropped into their stockings!
For our activity, the kiddos placed their stockings according to how we've been doing it for years. Since our theme is Disney, our stockings are those with the heads of a Disney character like Minnie, Donald, Eeyore, Pooh and Mickey.
