Love Dare Challenge- Day 1

Hello! I found this at another blog, but I want to start it here, too!

Thanks, Leigh of "Tales from Bloggeritaveille" for directing me to your friend's site.

Ok, in the movie Fireproof, Caleb Holt (Kirk Cameron) needed convincing that his marriage can be saved, and his wife some convincing that she can give him some slack too!

Anyway, I'll do one Love Dare each day and would love to see if you've done this or are willing to do it for your beloved! Are you ready? Ok, here we go!

Day 1
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering,
a forbearing one another in love;
Ephesians 4:2 KJV

DARE:
The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It's better to hold your tongue than to say something you'll regret.

What I Did:
Just like in the movie Fireproof, this is not easy. Especially when all your kids do not want to listen and your hubby lets them get away with a lot more than what you're comfortable with. So in this dare, I chose to just say, "Please stop..." This shows my kids I've had enough and my dear hubby enough time to jump in without us getting into any frustrating arguments ourselves. Working good so far!

Make sure to tell your friends to chime in so they can see how fun this really is and maybe even save your own marriage!!! I'm so excited!

Love you all,
Carolyn
