Happy May & Grand Canyon

Hosted by "Vintage Postcards CPAPHIL"

Happy 1st of May everybody!!!

When we moved from Arizona, my dh brought me a book of postcards of his work. Then, while unpacking, I found my small accordion of Arizona "must-see" places postcards. But now, of course I can't find them, so I'm sharing with you a book of postcards all about grand canyon. I only chose the cover as I really love it because of the purple coloring! Love purple!

Thank you for peeking at my chosen postcards today!

I love the utterly beautiful colors of the Grand Canyon--I have never been there, but would love to visit someday.

The purples, yellows, oranges, blues and yellows are complimentary (opposite eachother on the artist's color wheel). I have found I have a fondness for anything using complimentary colors.

Thank you so much for sharing--you have a delightful blog!

I'm happy to live in the Grand Canyon state. The first time I saw the Grand Canyon I couldn't believe how huge it is. Pictures don't do it justice, although there are a lot of beautiful pictures out there. I had the experience when I saw the Eiffle Tower in Paris. So much bigger in person than it looks in photos.
Have a great weekend.

A lovely postcard!.....
The best time to see the Grand Canyon is during the winter months......when few people are there crowding the park and views. Best ever is Christmas and stay in the El Tovar, right on the rim of the canyon. They go all out for Christmas and there is skiing in Flagstaff (just outside the park).
Happy May Day....hope your day has been beautiful

My husband and I live near Montreal, Quebec. We bought an RV a few years ago because when we retire we're planning to visit Canada and the U.S. The Grand Canyon is at the top of oue list!

After driving from Southern California to Oklahoma for years to visit our parents, we FINALLY visited the Canyon 40 years later! My funny husband walked up to it and said, "Hum, well there it is. Let's go."
