I'm Grateful For... #11

( "Virtue" by James Christensen)

Virtue and virtuous decisions!!! All it takes is to start and be disciplined, and have faith throughout. Tonight, for the Stake Young Women in Excellence program, we were treated to the beauty of leading a virtuous life through speech, behavior, clothing and exercise of faith.

L-Infinity and her Laurel group played a skit showing virtuous choices in our clothing styles. Her part was about dressing properly for church and how her modest attire helps her feel closer to God. This question was posed to the audience: "Will you feel comfortable about your choice in clothing if you will be in the presence of the Lord?" Tonight, everyone in that cultural were able to nod confidently...

It is true- how we dress and adorn ourselves detract from or enhance who we are- children of God. We follow work and public dress codes, dress up for special occasions; but why do we think that our ultimate host, the Savior himself, does not deserve our best on His day?

What an amazing sight to see numerous young women from different wards gather and share their desire to make a difference through their righteous choices. May we all be inspired by this powerful word and steer our world back to high morality that puts a smile on God's face...
