Hosted by "A Southern Daydreamer"Welcome to our family's blog!!! Today, I'm participating in Outdoor Wednesdays here! Enjoy!
Well, what do you do when you've got two smallish kiddos who love the water though they can't really swim that well yet, pretty good though, and it's Summertime? You swim, swim, swim!!!
Today, we hit the
Rainforest Aquatic Complex inside the Rec Center near where we live. At only $3 per person for residents, of course, it was on my list to do for summer here! I forgot the camera, so my cell took all these pictures.
There's I-Dude trying to impress me with him trying to put his face under 1.5 feet of water...

Then when Mr. Man took the kids to the other parts of this fun water complex, I watched this big bucket tip over, spill its contents...

... and blast those underneath with cool and rather powerful shower! I got blasted, by choice, about 5 times... IT WAS FUN!!!

There's Mr. Man and J-Pony wading in the "Endless Pool" where it swirls around so you get swept around this pool that faces the big bucket where the people on the other end also gets a cool blast, every 5 minutes!

I stayed mainly with the "pack", so when Mr. Man went on the big water slide across the complex and J-Pony was swimming with her friend's family at the regular but shallow pool, I watched I-Dude at the wading pool. I tried to catch him floating on his back, but my cell has a delay and it's slow in saving each shot. Oh, well...

We spent a good two hours there. Just enough to get a good swim but not burn... Plus, it was time to have lunch, a late one, that is... See that other big splash in the background? Well, I enjoyed that several times, too! I think more than the kiddos did! LOL

Looking around, this guy catches my attention. He's soooo cute! Be still my beating heart! Maybe I should marry him. Oh, wait, I did! Over twelve years ago! I have good taste, don't I? ;-)

So,
SONIC it is for lunch! We feasted on malts, slushes, chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and tots! All for $15.00 for four people! We had B1G1F coupons plus the Happy Hour 1/2 price discounts! Score!

Then we went home to take a shower and answer some emails and return phonecalls/texts. Afterwards, we went back to the
HALF PRICE BOOKS we went to yesterday and swapped out J-Pony's cracked CD game. Very painless procedure.
Whew! And after taking the scenic route, we took the two smallish kiddos to a bbq joint that J-Pony recommended since she went there with a friend and her family before. I-Dude trying to be patient since he got full first...
Here's J-Pony happy we finally went. And Mr. Man's happy because I saved him $20! B1G1F coupons! That meant, the kids ate for FREE!!!
This is my plate. Look at all that food plus endless hot, soft, delicious dinner rolls and soda for only $10!
What is this place? Why it's...

We ended the adventure with a haircut for Mr. Man and some Tar-jay time for me and the kiddos. Nothing much to report there... None of their clearance matched my shopping needs except for some patriotic muffin liners for 50 cents each. And... rootbeer floats for the kiddos!
Hope you all had a wonderful day today, too!!!
Thanks to our lovely host, Susan and for you, for peeking!
